Stumbled over something interesting today, something I wouldn't mind applying to a floor in my own apartment.
Sensitive Floor is "an interactive video floor projection which reacts to the way people walk on it." You could call it a form of interactive art that you have on your floor just as well as your wall. Look at their gallery for some neat examples!
